Tough Mudder Update

Tough Mudder Challenge 2014

On Saturday 2nd August 2014 Schofield Insurance Brokers took part in the Skipton 2014 Tough Mudder Challenge raising £3,797 for The Forget Me Not Childrens Hospice. After being separated from the girls 1/3 of the way round the course and despite the rainy weather, Gary Holland 50, James Barker 26 and Dean Fletcher 35, finished the course in just 3 hours 45 minutes.

The girls, Amy Wilson 21 and Rachel Spode 34, followed shortly after completing it in 4 hours. Catching up after the event with the Schofield\’s MD Gary Holland said What a fantastic day! I didnt realise just how hard it was going to be, but we had lots of fun and faced all the challenges head on. Im so pleased for everyone who took part and with the amount of money we managed to raise.

The Tough Mudder consisted of, barbed wire, electric shock therapy, underground tunnels, 8ft vertical climbing walls and much more. Schofields met with Kate Goldring, the Senior Corporate Partnership Manager at The Forget Me Not Children\’s Hospice, who said I am thrilled Schofields have chosen to support us in this challenge.

This year we need to raise £3.2m, this means we will be able to care for over 200 children with a life limiting conditions and their families. Schofields support really does make a difference and without people like you we wouldnt be able to do what we do. Gary Holland and the Schofield staff are now deciding what event to take part in next year to help raise more money for The Forget Me Not Children\’s Hospice.
